Specs:
Processor i5-6300HQ CPU @ 2.30GHz (quad)
Installed RAM 8,00 GB

Changing refresh rate of VU and Display to 0 doesn't make a difference.

With all honesty, I don't know what answer you
You have a similar machine than the one where I did screenshot of my precedent message, you should get around the same CPU usage.

I just did a measurement on the dedicated JP machine I use each sundays for my live, a small configuration:

Testing with 5.4.2 which doesn't have any problems, CPU usage is the same like 5.5 and 5.6.
I will continue testing, maybe I will find a hint where the problem is coming from.

Thanks you so much for your support.

Hi,

Could you tell me if you are using the Auxiliary output, in Settings/Audio/Device configuration?
I mean, is it set on "None" or on another soundcard/virtual cable?

Can you try to create a second virtual cable and use is as Aux output (or use a device linked to nothing , as Aux output), and see if you still have dropouts and unwanted parts of sound still playing in Main output ?

Bon soir mon ami,

I did do some intense research, can't wait to get the new JP running on my system!

Good news, we're getting closer!

Trying all kind of different VACs on main/aux, different volume etc., dropouts in about every 20th to 30th jingle, same problem.
Sometimes after changing devices audio delayed of about 1 sec. while VU-Meter was in time.
Restart of JP did solve that problem.
Trying straight to DJ controller sound card no problem.
After closing JP sound card driver was still blocked, had to reset Controller.

My system is kinda complex, I am running Traktor 4, Whatsapp, JP and 3 sessions of Reaper(DAW) all interconnected via IP.
Therefore my overall settings are all set to the same sampling rate, I am using 48.000.

More often I have experienced problems like that which was mostly caused by different sampling rates or clock drift.
One of my Reaper session is connected to ASIO4ALL which handles all of my VACs.
So I changed the sampling rate from 48.000 to 44.100 and JP is now playing without problems!
Seems like JP has a problem with 48.000.

Surprisingly, the change of the sessions sampling rate doesn't seem to affect my system negative.

I do not use the ducker since I emulate my own but I did take a look on yours too.
If I would use yours I would miss my HP + LP filter EQ and a gate for the control signal
which is a wonder weapon against truck noise, door slam etc. ;-)

Thank you so much for your effort!
