Bug Report: FX and Settings windows goes behind main window

I experienced the same issue. When I select "Effects" the window settings appears for an instant and then goes in background without the opportunity to make it back in foreground.
Every click fails with beep sound. I need to force the closure.
I noticed that if I move the app window in my second monitor at the right edge position, the Effect window open in the left edge of the second monitor and I can use it.
I hope someone give us a solution. Thanks

Hi ,

Can you reproduce with only one monitor plugged to the computer instead of two ?

With one monitor, I can not get this bug.

I tried with notebook monitor only and I confirm the same issue.
If I press "space bar" the track starts, maybe because the focus is on the first button of "Effects settings" window.
I'm available to let you connect directly to my pc, if you think could be useful to solve it.

Hi,

This is very strange that you get it also on unique monitor, I'm not able to reproduce.

I also spent 2 hours to try to emulate 2 monitors en Virtualbox, without success ("Enable" on the second virtual monitor stays greyed, I don't know why...) ...

I changed somes things in the code and also the "on top" window management (FS/Settings/Color windows over the main window), I get the same result here (these windows still stay well in front of main window), but I can't test anymore.

I built an exe, can you try :
- Rename the jingle_palette.exe file from installation folder (usually C:\program files x86\jingle palette ....) for jingle_palette.old or other you want
- Download https://jinglepalettereloaded.com/testf ... alette.exe and place it in the installation folder
- Start this build

Let me give you a better feedback.
Before your patch, ONLY effects window settings went in background. Settings windows went correctly in foreground.
Now, effects window settings goes in foreground BUT "Always on top" feature doesn't work anymore.
Dual monitor tested correctly.

I have to investigate, in fast, it looks to be a conflict the "Always on top" setting and the FX/Settings form that have to be on top of main window.

Hi,

Can you repeat the exe replacement described above ? the link is the same, I replaced the target file.
I made some changes, can you test FX panel, Settings panel, with and without "Always on top" option checked ?

Now everything works flawlessly.
I tested also in dual monitor configuration.
