Let me give you a better feedback.
Before your patch, ONLY effects window settings went in background. Settings windows went correctly in foreground.
Now, effects window settings goes in foreground BUT "Always on top" feature doesn't work anymore.
Dual monitor tested correctly.

I tried with notebook monitor only and I confirm the same issue.
If I press "space bar" the track starts, maybe because the focus is on the first button of "Effects settings" window.
I'm available to let you connect directly to my pc, if you think could be useful to solve it.
