Error message at opening error 383

Hello,

my nome is Christel and each time I open the Jingle Palette I get this error message could you please help me on this?

Hi,

I will have a look, but from when I check a copy of app code, it should be related with the Jingle label format dropdown list, in Options, Settings, Interface.

Can you before anythiung , zip the jp.ini file from the app installation folder and join it here ?

From my side, I can reproduce the error if a wrong value is set at line JLabelFormat of jp.ini (that='s why it is important that you post here your jp.ini file :) )

Also, after this, can you check which value you have in the dropdwon list ? Try to change and exit from Settings and restart the app ?
If the problem still there, can you (with closed app), rename jp.ini for another filename, like jp_old.ini and restart the app ? The app will recreate a new jp.ini file with default parameters values.

When you get the error, can you use the software or must you close it ?

Hi,

thank you for your answer. Here is the jp.ini zipped.

To be honnest I tried to change the language on the Options/Settings/Configuration and I got the following error message :

No way to exit from the screen except by the task manager. And then I tried to reopen the jingle palette and no more error message I guess it repaired it.

I don't know if you want to give a follow on that. If not thank you for your help.

Thanks for the file, I will test it.

For the mismatch error, it is related with this thread viewtopic.php?t=70 and should be fixed in the next release.

Did you tried to rename (with jingle palette closed) the jp.ini file and restart the app ?

Hi,

Tested with your jp.ini file and can reproduce the error.
It comes from the Language value that is set as "French" (from original v4.4.5), that has been renamed for "Français" in v5.x.y .

A fix has been implented for the next release.

A workaround while waiting for the next release if to set "English" in Options/Settings/Interface, close the app and restart it. The error shouldn't come back, and the language could be set for "Français".
Or directly in jp.ini, replace "French" for "Français" value for "Language" parameter, save the file and start the app.
