Wow, what a setup you made ! I wouldn't to be at your place to configure all that installation... How do you find your way around? I would lose myself here lol

About part of (stopped) datas played at beginning of playback, I had as answer that, I quote, "BASS_ChannelSetPosition should clear the channel's playback buffer, so that old data isn't heard".
I uploaded a new exe here https://jinglepalettereloaded.com/files ... 010825.zip

About 44.1kHz vs 48kHz, I got confirmation of what I wrote previously about device freq.

Can you try it and see if :

- you still have unwanted audio played before the beginning of jingle

- you still have dropouts (and if yes, do you have dropouts at the same moment if you play several jingles at the same time?)

- exiting JP still blocking your controller audio device

For dropouts and part of audio wrongly played, can you test with bass.dll replacement https://jinglepalettereloaded.com/files/forum/bass.dll

Thanks :D

Testing new JP.exe, still the same problem.
Playing several jingles same time causing dropouts of output signal even more regular.
Artefacts on that one jingle button still persists.
Soundcard is not being released.

Testing bass.dll
Artefacts still persists.
Soundcard again not being released.
Dropouts totally gone!!!

The soundcard not being released is no problem to me because I never change device settings on my config while playing.
Artefacts also no problem to me since it only occurs after the jingle is being stopped by the button which I don't do when I play.

Okay :)
Your test was @48 kHz ?

About artefact, perhapps some buffer stays somewhere else, I don't know, I can't do nothing more, but if it's not a real problem I'll keep like it is actually.

For the not released soudcard, I don't know too, as well as I apply freeing on each outputs.

Hi,

I need you doing some more tests :D
Download & Install https://jinglepalettereloaded.com/files ... e_v570.exe

I added a dropdown list in the Device configuration, to set the internal mixers sample rate.

Can you make 4 tests, especially about dropouts ?
Set back your VAC to 48000 Hz for all tests, like your setup is usually configured.

- Sample rate @44100 (default value)
- Sample rate @48000

Replace bass.dll by these previously given and redo the 2 tests (44100 and 48000 Hz).

For each test, you should have JPR Console displaying at startup, use the Copy button and paste here the lines copied, and tell if you have or not dropouts.

=============
About artefacts on row 1 btn 3, do you get this on every palette ? (if you have several palettes). If you load another jingle onto this button, do you get the same artefact ?

I did have to set back my system to 48.000 anyway because of dropout problems
on all other VACs.

This test is interesting. Changing palette to a less populated one is fixing the
problem with Artefact (see pics).

1.
Bass : 2.4.17.0
Speaker/Headphone (VB-Audio Cable B) : 25 ms - 48000Hz
MixerFreq : 44100Hz

No dropouts, even if I move JP to the next monitor while jingle playing.
Artefact still there, same problem with another jingle file.

2.
Bass : 2.4.17.0
Speaker/Headphone (VB-Audio Cable B) : 25 ms - 48000Hz
MixerFreq : 48000Hz

No difference

3.
Bass : 2.4.17.47
Speaker/Headphone (VB-Audio Cable B) : 25 ms - 48000Hz
MixerFreq : 44100Hz

No difference

4.
Bass : 2.4.17.47
Speaker/Headphone (VB-Audio Cable B) : 25 ms - 48000Hz
MixerFreq : 48000Hz

No difference

Hiding hot jingles doesn't remove artefact.

Okay :) I will keep the actual DLL for the moment, as well as I don't know yet if the second one is a stable version or not.

Number of jingles per palette should not having importance because timer (dsplay/countdown) just look for playing jingles only (no need to look remaining time for non-playing jingles ^^ ). The VU-Meters timer looks the device output level so does not make any difference if the sound comes from one or other jingle button.

About artefacts, I notice on your screenshots that the first (on populated palette) has Effects (the blue right LED), not on the less populated.

Which type of effect is applied on this jingle ? Start position ? EQ ?

Can you try just with removing all effects/position and see if artefacts still there ?

Can you try with another jingle at the same place ?

Just finished 3 hours testing JP on liveshow.
No dropouts!

I wonder how I seem to get blind too.

I did put a reverb of 0,21 secs on it. Changing to 0 removes artefact.
Changing Tempo or Pitch doesn't give trouble.

Tested on other buttons.
Indeed, seems like the reverb buffer is causing the problem.

Hey :)

Thanks for accroding time to test.
Well spotted, I can reproduce the artefact now !

I have to see how to fix this, the reverb should sound out even if we stop the jingle before its end. Actually, it is not the case, the reverb is stopped when we stop the jingle.
